Locking screws are crucial orthopedic implants that a surgeon needs while repairing bone injuries. These screws make it possible for the patient to move around in a flexible way without feeling much pain.

HEMC Ortho exports the locking screws as well as many other screws like cortical screw  to many countries too, besides meeting the domestic demand. These screws are always in demand due to the advantages they carry for the surgeons and patients alike. We keep the global quality parameters and follow them strictly. That is why  HEMC Ortho is in demand from across the world. Here are some of the key benefits of locking screws.

Major benefits of locking screws

As compared to the conventional screw system, locking plate and screw systems have many advantages. While the conventional systems needs accurate adaption of the locking plate to the bone underlying, there is no such requirement when using locking screws. In the conventional method, the bone segment draws toward the plate when the crews are tightened. This resulted in alterations in the position of the osseous segments.

On the other hand, locking plate/screw systems does not require the plate to come in intimate contact with the underlying bones. This is because when the screws are tightened, they get ‘locked’ to the place. As a result of this, the segments are stabilized firmly in place. Then, there is no need for the surgeon to compress the bone to the plate. This means that there will be no alteration of the segment position due to the locking screw insertion.  This surely is a crucial big advantage of locking screw and plate system.

Another key advantage of locking crews and locking plate system is that there is no disruption of the underneath cortical bone perfusion. This is a big problem in using conventional plates and screws. The conventional system compresses the underlying surface of the plate down to the cortical bone, causing more problems.

The orthopedic surgeons prefer locking screw and locking plate system also because these screws are strong and dig firmly. There is no possibility of locking screws loosening from the plate.  A major advantage is that the screw will not loosen even when it is inserted into a fractured gap in the bone. Even when the locking screw goes through the bone graft, the screw will not loosen. So, the graft incorporation and healing process goes on smoothly.

In the conventional system, incidence of inflammatory complications occurred frequently due to loosening of the conventional screws. The loose hardware causes an inflammatory response which then promotes infection. But in the case of locking screws and locking plate system the loosening of screws from the plate is highly unlikely. Therefore, chances for the hardware system to loosen are rare.

Another major advantage of locking screws and plate system is that it provides more stable fixation as compared to the non-locking screw and plate system.

Global quality standards maintained

HEMC Ortho follows strict global quality standards at every phase of production.  This is the reason that We are able to export the implants more than 75 countries.
